Honda OSM review.

Honda says that the OSM roadster on display at the 2008 British Motor Show is merely a design study, but given that “design study” is frequently a euphemism for “future design language,” we wonder if we’re seeing the next iteration of Honda car styling. Frankly, we hope so, because this is worlds better than what we’ve seen from the automaker of late, from the Accord right on up to the bland and bloated Pilot. The OSM, short for Read the rest of this entry »

Honda Jazz review.

THE light car revolution has arrived. Led by Jazz, Honda’s first sub-compact contender and the first sub-$20,000 car since the Civic CXi was pensioned off in 2000, the local light car segment’s ranks were further swelled by the equally innovative Mazda2 just one month later in December 2002. Honda Zest Sports G 2008 review.

This little kei wagon on Matchbox-sized wheels is the Honda Zest Sports G (Dynamic Special), and yes, that parenthetical appears to be part of the official name. What makes it more dynamic and special than the regular Zest Sports? Read the rest of this entry »

Honda Legend 2009 review.

Acura rolled out the 2009 RL at the Chicago Auto Show, so the appearance of the Honda version of the car, badged Legend, isn’t the most searingly-hot news. Honda CR-V 2008 review.

Once funky and cute, the Honda CR-V has grown up to look more like a high-dollar crossover. This latest-generation CR-V, completely redesigned and re-engineered for the 2007 model year, is more powerful and more comfortable than the previous-generation models. Its new suspension geometry delivers an improved ride and better, more responsive handling. The four-cylinder engine employs variable intake valve timing to optimize horsepower and torque for acceleration and cruising speeds and it’s paired with a five-speed automatic transmission.
