Land Rover LR3 2008 review.

The Land Rover LR3 in an impressive achievement. While other mid-luxury SUVs are surrendering off-road competence, the LR3 combines responsive on-road performance with go-anywhere off-road capability in a vehicle that is comfortable, safe and secure.The LR3 offers the competence of the more expensive Range Rover and some of its luxurious feel. Underway, the LR3 feels stable and composed, with little noise and vibration transmitted into the cabin. The brakes are excellent, something that can’t be said of its predecessor, the Discovery. Land Rover Range Rover HSE 2008 review.

The 2008 Land Rover Range Rover is a classically handsome SUV that earns high praise from reviewers around the car world, who admire its mix of the rugged and the luxurious.

According to Cars.com, the Range Rover 2008 features “an upright grille, flanked by standard high-intensity-discharge headlights…a downward-sloping roofline, side vents in the front fenders, rocker panel moldings and standard 19-inch alloy wheels with low-profile tires.” Read the rest of this entry »

Land Rover LRX review.

We’ve big fans of the Land Rover LRX concept’s styling, which looked as good in black (unveiled in Geneva) as it did in the original white (unveiled in Detroit). So we’re suitably pleased by reports that Land Rover is preparing to build the vehicle, which could get the nameplate Freelander Sport in keeping with the nomenclature already set in place by the Range Rover Sport. Land Rover LR2 2008 review.

If the Land Rover LR2 doesn’t knock the socks off of shoppers for an SUV of this size and price, nothing will. It offers more content than they have reason to expect, compared to what’s out there. Think of it as a baby Range Rover Sport, for at least 20 grand less. It costs about $8,000 less than the next Land Rover up the scale, the LR3, and has a more powerful and smoother engine: an all-new, high-tech, inline six-cylinder built by Volvo, mated to a sophisticated six-speed automatic transmission.
