Mitsubishi Galant review.

We could name a number of midsize, import-badge sedans that ride comfortably and quietly, handle responsively, and offer an optional V6 that provides ample power for passing. All feature roomy, nicely appointed cabin space, and all represent good value in the family-car market.

Mitsubishi Galant does all that, but offers sharp styling, the kind that turns heads in traffic. Not everyone will like what they see, but none of them will accuse the Galant of being a wallflower. Read the rest of this entry »

Mitsubishi Outlander review.

For 2007, Mitsubishi has improved and simplified the Outlander, the company’s entry in the compact sport utility vehicle class. The Mitsubishi Outlander gets a more powerful, V6 engine and a new six-speed automatic with a sport-shift feature, a first for this segment. Four-wheel drive remains an option, but the system is more sophisticated and more flexible than that of the previous generation, with a sportier, rear-wheel-drive emphasis. Mitsubishi Lancer 2008 review.

When the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution made its North American debut in 2003, folks in Canada were left out in the cold. The diamond star vehicle’s bumper design and intercooler placement did not meet Canada’s low speed impact regulations. Fortunately for the land of maple leaves, Mitsubishi considered their plight when designing the new-generation 2008 Lancer Evolution. As is the case with many automobiles imported to Canada, the Evo meets the stringent bumper standards through the inclusion of a plastic bumper guard. Read the rest of this entry »

Mitsubishi Eclipse 2008 review.

Mitsubishi redesigned the Eclipse for the 2006 model year, adding a big 3.8-liter V6 instead of a turbocharged four-cylinder and opting for front-wheel drive instead or rear- or all-wheel drive.

At the 2008 Chicago Auto Show, Mitsubishi showed it is sticking with that plan for 2009 while giving the Eclipse freshened styling, slightly more power, and additional features.

The Eclipse coupe and Spyder convertible will continue in four-cylinder GS and V6 GT models for 2009. The mid-line SE model will be dropped. Read the rest of this entry »
