Successful tarmac test of the new Å koda Fabia Super 2000. Two time world champion Carlos Sainz, joined experienced test drivers Jan Kopecký and Raimund Baumschlager; the team recently tested the competition version of the Fabia Super 2000 in Austria. The Volkswagen factory driver won the Central European Rally with a Race Touareg this year in April and contributed to the double success of the new Scirocco in its class at the 24-hour race in Nürnburgring a few days ago. Skoda has confirmed that it will be putting the Skoda Yeti into production, after the Skoda Yeti Design Study displayed at the Geneva Motor Show was quite well received by the public. Skoda is looking to attract younger buyers with its all-new second-generation Fabia hatchback. The car, which goes on sale in the UK on May 17, has borrowed some styling devices from the Mini, such as different-coloured roofs in white or silver, with matching door mirrors. Skoda is also hoping to capitalise on its rallying pedigree – a VRS version is in the pipeline, which will borrow styling cues from the S2000 rally-spec version on show at Geneva. The new Skoda Superb successor to Skoda Auto’s existing flagship that will premier at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show offers new design elements, smart technological solutions and new engines.

This year, tens of thousands of you responded to a questionnaire which looked at all the key factors of owning and running a car. Lexus, Honda and Toyota dominated the top 10.
