В The Cayman S is powered by a 295 hp 3.4-liter flat six-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual or an optional Tiptronic S five-speed automatic transmission. The Cayman S comes standard with: Porsche Stability Management (PSM), dual exhaust tips, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, power retractable spoiler, 18-inch alloy wheels, front and side airbags, leather seat trim, air conditioning, cruise control, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, power mirrors, windows and door locks with remote keyless entry. Optional features include: Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), roof-mounted transport system, Bi-Xenon headlamps, 19-inch alloy wheels, power seats with driver memory control, and a Bose surround sound system.

The Cayman S is distinct from the Cayman in its front lip spoilers and dual-tube tailpipe design
